Communicable Diseases and Immunisation Conference, Adelaide
You couldn’t miss us at the Communicable Diseases and Immunisation Conference 2025 in June! We had 15 of our team from the Vaccine Trials Group fly over to Adelaide along with another 10+ colleagues from the Wesfarmers Centre of Vaccines and Infectious Diseases. Our research was featured on the national stagethrough presentations focusing on RSV, COVID, and flu, as well as future clinical trials and vaccine safety.
Perth Children’s Hospital Child Health Research Symposium
In November, staff from our Group were again well represented at the annual Child Health Research Symposium at the Perth Children’s Hospital, with oral and poster presentations on pertussis, RSV and COVID-19.
Our Senior Research Fellow, Dr Ushma Wadia, was awarded a prize for the highest scoring abstract for oral presentation. With more than 90 oral presentations across the four-day symposium, this award is certainly a high accolade.
